Werner Hasler

Werner Hasler is a Swiss–Liechtenstein composer, trumpeter and electronic musician. Alongside his long-standing collaboration with Kamilya Jubran, he leads The Outer String, a loose ensemble of cello, trumpet, electronics and drums. In recent years he has worked with artists such as Hugo Ryser, Carlo Niederhauser and Vincent Courtois on projects that blur the line between exhibition/installation and live performance. Hasler’s recent trilogy — OUT (2016), OUT TOO (2018) and OUT THERE (2019) — comprises immersive audio-visual installations that include live, surround-sound sets. He also teaches Electronics & Music at the Bern University of the Arts (Hochschule der Künste Bern).
