Carlo Niederhauser

Carlo Niederhauser is a cellist working beyond convention and genre boundaries. Shaped by long-standing collaborations across diverse musical worlds, his distinctive sound has been part of the Swiss scene for more than a decade. He has collaborated with Björn Meyer, Sylvie Courvoisier, Barbara Schirmer, Hans Koch, Julian Sartorius, Homayoun Shajarian, Mario Batkovic, and many others. Whether in concert halls, clubs, or interdisciplinary projects, Niederhauser treats the cello as a flexible instrument for dialogue—equally open to composition and improvisation, chamber intimacy, and adventurous crossovers.
