Mathon takes its name from the village of Mathon in the Swiss Alps. Since 2003, Thomas Augustiny, Roger Stucki, and Pete Aurel Leuenberger have met there annually, inviting guest musicians to translate the site’s striking landscape into sound. A conceptual ambient project in the truest sense, Mathon turns space into sound—and lets sound create space in return.
