Terrestre
- by Mathon
Terrestre is a musical narrative about the earth—center of existence, ground of life. For their fourth album, Pete Aurel Leuenberger, Roger Stucki, and Thomas Augustiny took a mobile studio into the Swiss mountains and set “earth” as the compositional axis. The coexistence—and friction—between nature and civilization is audible throughout. Each of the six pieces features at least one guest, with Maria Capelli, Ronny Spiegel, Maurice de Martin, and Nicolas Kellner contributing their perspectives. The core album appears on 12" vinyl. In parallel, the material was shared with other artists for interpretations: remixes by Kenneth Kirschner (12k/USA), i8u (Dragon’s Eye/CAN), Steinbrüchel (Synchron/CH), Digitalis (Thinner/CH), Elektrohandel (DE), Tobias Reber (Hyperfunction/CH), and Matu (CH), plus video works by Maurice de Martin (Zeitkratzer/DE) and Marc-André Gasser (Magdesign/CH), are included on an accompanying DVD.
