Two Dogs

Two Dogs is the Berlin-based duo of Swiss musicians Beat Keller (guitars) and Joke Lanz (turntables, voice). An uncompromising meeting of two musical individualists, they oscillate between bristling dissonance and lucid harmony. With a stripped-down toolkit, Keller and Lanz forge a language between street-level poetry and free improvisation. A mainstay of experimental turntablism, Lanz collages fragments and found sound into volatile new images. Keller, long devoted to his self-developed “feedbacker” guitar, pushes the instrument beyond conventional technique to open raw, feedback-driven textures. Their debut album, Songs from the Trash Can, assembles thirteen raw miniatures—abrasive, kinetic, and unexpectedly lyrical.
