The Worst

After their critically acclaimed record Three Times Dead (2008, Everest Records), Hemlock Smith & Les Poissons Autistes return — this time collaborating with Arnaud Ivan Sponar (aka Goodbye Ivan). As the ongoing project developed into a markedly different mood and style, the group gave it a new name. Things are rarely what they seem: this is not an album about maritime disasters, nor about U-boats from WWII. It is a record made by four people, safely working from their respective homes. With three members based in Switzerland and one in Brooklyn, NY, the music was realised through long-distance collaboration and file transfers over a three-year period.
