Matu

Matu is a Bern-based producer, sound designer, and co-founder of Everest Records, as well as one half of the duo Everest. His solo work spans finely grained electronics and hands-on experimentation: the early project Elevatormusic—composed and produced largely on an E-mu SP-1200—distills microscopic rhythms and atmosphere into lean, tactile pieces. His new venture, Black Box Bricolage, moves the lab to the stage with homemade instruments, analog synths, and a looper, channeling a raw current of space-drone and noise. The throughline is craft: minimal motion, maximal presence, and sound built by hand.
