Maru Rieben

Maru Rieben (*1963) is a musician, composer and performer. Trained as a jazz drummer, she now works across acoustic and electronic means in an integrative, context-sensitive practice. Rieben has performed throughout Europe, Lebanon, New York and Japan, and has released several recordings, including TSUKI on Everest Records. She composes for theatre, dance, film and radio. Active in collaborative settings, she is a member of the Volca Massaker Orchester and has appeared in projects connected to the Bern-based literature/music collective Bern ist überall.
