EP cover: Meienberg - Holy Mud (front)

Holy Mud

A compact, four-track snapshot of late-’90s Bern electronics, Holy Mud threads dusty breaks, sub-bass pulse, and cut-up textures into moody, cinematic miniatures. Tracked lo-fi on a Tascam 4-track and peppered with field recordings, the music carries a tactile tape patina: the opener rolls with head-nod grit; “3 Eyed Bull” prowls in half-light; “NWO” compresses its message into under two minutes; “Channels” closes with slow-bloom detail. Originally released in 1999 as er_cd_001, with cover art by Meienberg, it sits between downtempo and experimental beatcraft—taut, handmade, and quietly timeless.
