CCCC IV
Issued alongside the fourth Contemporary Culture Convention in Bern, this compilation sketches a wide-angle portrait of the Swiss over- and underground circa the early 2000s. Diversity is the brief: from ambient and electronica to broken beat, hip-hop, minimal house, and drum & bass, the set embraces friction and flow across scenes. Curated from an open call, the release doubles as a network map—labels, collectives, designers, and venues converging across four floors of live acts, DJ sets, and visual installations, with a spotlight on Switzerland’s “exotic” cantons and the southern neighbor, Italy. Contributors: Nemoy, Mon Petit Poney, Jakob, DX-9, Ketepica, Agnès, Papiro, Strotter Inst., Diwandiwan, Putes Cigolana Ortcele, Babychlor, Aster O.H., Filewile, Ketepica, Dehli Delight, Dubdray, En Sayne, Ketepica. A document of cross-genre curiosity and connective tissue—made to be listened to, not labeled.
