Herpes Ö DeLuxe - Havarie
‘Havarie’ is the first regular CD publication of the band active for almost a decade. In contrast to the sound of most representatives of modern electronic music, their sound is “hand made” which means it is free of any entirely pre produced sequences or samples. They work principally with old electronic instruments, partly with modified tools (turntable as an instrument) as well as with self-made materials (such as tape loops) or voice.
Live performances always refer to the moment – according to this, an exclusive set is elaborated for every event, no one of which is ever performed again in the same form, because the spontaneous aspect would be lost and reproduction would be in opposition to the interactive play of the four musicians, which depends strongly on the mood of each of them and the situation of a given event.
Besides concerts in the traditional sense, Herpes Ö DeLuxe have been involved in numerous other performances; they made the musical concept for the theater ‘Habgier’, and regularly produce the soundtracks for the explosion performances of the artist Pavel Schmidt (Solothurn/Munich), which have taken them to unique locations such as the Olympic ski ramp in Innsbruck, the European Academy of Plastic Arts in Trier or the Graf Zeppelin museum in Friedrichshafen.
