The Bern-based Helios & Hess are the two noise veterans of Wurstfinger and Strotter Inst. Their compositions are based on analog instruments, manipulated turntables, loops and sound fragments. Their long and epic pieces come closer to storytelling than to boring pop songs. They tell stories about unknown, misunderstood Swiss traditions and seduce the audience with journeys into crazy, spherical landscapes and hurricanes on the one hand. On the other hand, they take you into the harsh reality of nature and human violence, but everything is intense and with a good portion of humor.
