Velocell, the latest album from Everest, makes the perfect pitch between oblique angled melodies, electro and digital texturing. The scattered rigid beats build up a menacing sound scape which make one think of a futuristic film soundtrack. However you look at it, its great to hear a purely electronic record celebrating its digitality whilst referencing the birth of electro, traversing the balanced line between psychadelic expanses and melodic deconstructions.
