Babalon Anon is an UK MC and spoken word poet from Essex. Serving up his own unique brand of cheeky sarcasm and surreal humour whilst weaving references to mythology, classical and occult literature, conspiracy theory and popular culture into tales of excessive substance misuse and psychedelic paranoia.

Babalon Anon’s rapid rhymes and skilled lyrical flow contrast sharply with his performance poetry. Delivered in a style described as “diction adagio” and sharing observations on the inherent pain and beauty of human interaction.

Babalon Anon provides a refreshing and accessible antidote to the mindless violence and commodity worship of much modern rap. Whether you like to digest lyrical content or party wildly, Babalon Anon is your man.

Unlike producers who offer an artist a selection of instrumentals to rhyme over, former member of Drum and Bass collective Silent Extent, talented Swiss Deep House producer Patrick Podage has the skill to create beautiful arrangements and banging anthems on the spot.

Having previously collaborated on the soundtrack to the muti-media production “Daimonion” for Heartcore Collective and sharing a love and appreciation for all forms of music, Patrick Podage and Babalon Anon fuse their diverse tastes sitting together in the studio and working from the start to formulate each track for the project “On the Other Side of the Mirror”.

Babalon Anon describes the pace and vibe of the track sometimes suggesting samples. Each tune is then created with Babalon Anon present so that continual feedback allows Patrick Podage to mould a variety of multi-genre tunes to fit the lyrical content. After Babalon Anon lays down the vocal they return to the tune to add often amusing embellishments and musical in-jokes to provide a unique fusion of sound and wordplay.

Enjoying the collaborative process, they take their respective arts seriously but do not take themselves seriously.

Ouch. It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for.
