Digitalis ist the musical project of Nicolas Kellner and Roger Stucki. Before the IT-specialist and the architect began working on their common musical aesthetic, both had been important people for nightlife: Already in the 80ies Nicolas Kellner founded the association «Verein zeitgenössischer Tanzkultur – vzt» which was responsible for the first electronic music parties being held in Bern. Roger Stucki, who later joined in as a DJ, was already well known as resident of clubs such as Komfort, Joystick and Dead End. Thanks to their close contact with Sinneswandel, Beam Records and Zaffraya in Bern they soon started to play all over Switzerland and created their own party series «Netzklang» and «Treibstoff und Perlen».
Their first musical collaboration was released in 2002 on the German netlabels Thinner and 2063music. Different enquiries for remixes lead to other releases and gigs all over Europe. Releases on the Bernese platform Realaudio.ch and Wankdorf Recordings soon followed. During the last couple of years Digitalis have mainly been focussing on the creation of soundscapes for media and advertising.
With their latest release «Pendulum» on Everestrecords the two producers now return to their roots of electronic dance music.
